Pheromone Girl Grows Up

Once upon a time...

10.15.2009

As night falls

It pulls at her hair
tangling it into knots
that will take hours and hours to undo
and yet she waits.
Stoically, faithfully,
never leaving her post.
The sky is dark and brooding
just like her soul
as she sits and thinks
of what to say when he appears on the horizon.
Hi, Dad. Goodbye.

Write fiction (why is my fiction always based on truth? Hmmm?) in 55 words, no more, no less. Tell G-Man when you're through. Make some new friends. You have time for 55 words, don't you?

I have yet to pen 55 fictitious words. It is in life where inspiration lives and through it, for me anyway, the words flow freely. I can identify with your 55 today and feel tenderly sad. Your accompanying photograph only adds to the vision you create for us. Very well done.

My 55 is posted here.

Have a wonderful weekend.

I have TIME for 55 words... just not sure I could do them justice. One of these days I'll have to give it a shot.

I just posted a meme using one-word answers - that was hard enough! I keep forgetting flash 55.

Haunting is the word, very truly, o, but sooo nice!

I'm amazed at how much emotion and meaning you can capture in a flash 55. You know how to set the mood, Chica. Nice job!
